Zachary Logan Bradford, Age 3 Died After Fighting For His Life Since Birth

Zachary Logan Bradford Obituary – Zachary Logan Bradford, beloved grandson, and the superhero son of Jade Louise Bradford and Rhys Bradford, died on Thursday, January 2nd, Zachary had been courageously fighting for his life, awaiting a liver and bowel transplant. Despite the relentless efforts of his family to raise awareness and campaign for children like Zachary who are in need of transplants, time was not on our side. Zachary contracted sepsis, and in his fragile state, it became too much for his small body to bear. He was just three years old.

The heartbreak and loss we feel as Zachary’s family is indescribable. There are no words that can fully capture the depth of our sorrow, the pain of losing someone so young, so full of life. We knew from the start that Zachary’s journey would be a difficult one, but we held onto hope every single day. Now, that hope has been replaced by an aching void that we cannot comprehend. The grief is overwhelming, but we take solace in knowing that Zachary’s short life was filled with so much love.

Zachary was the happiest boy. No matter how much he endured during his time with us, he always wore a smile that could light up a room. Living most of his life in Glasgow Children’s Hospital, Zachary formed bonds with so many doctors, nurses, and fellow patients. He had a way of wrapping everyone around his little finger, with his cheeky grin and playful spirit. Even in his most difficult moments, Zachary showed strength and bravery beyond his years. He bossed the nurses around, pointing with authority and making everyone laugh. His joy was infectious, and his love for life, despite all the challenges he faced, continues to inspire us.

Zachary’s bravery and resilience have left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His love is contagious, and his memory will remain a beacon of hope for our family as we navigate the immense pain of his loss. We are devastated, but we are also determined to honor Zachary’s legacy by continuing to raise awareness for children in need of transplants, and by holding onto the strength he showed us every day.

In this incredibly difficult time, we are turning to our community for support. All donations received will be used to help cover the memorial services for Zachary and to provide assistance to his family—Jade, Rhys, and Zachary’s little brother, Reuben. As many of you know, my daughter Jade devoted herself to caring for Zachary full-time, giving up her career in training to become a paramedic. We want to ensure that the family is free from any financial pressures so they can focus on healing and remembering their son’s beautiful life.

We are deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support we have already received. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping Jade, Rhys, and Reuben as they move forward, carrying Zachary’s spirit with them. Whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or simply offering kind words and prayers, your support means the world to us.

A memorial service to celebrate Zachary’s life is tentatively planned for Thursday, January 16th, 2025. The service will take place at 3:00 pm at Bishopbriggs Crematorium, Crosshill Road, G64 2PZ. Following the service, we will host Zachary’s Teddy Bear Picnic at Glazert Country House Hotel, 25 Milton Road, Lennoxtown, G66 7DJ, at 4:00 pm. We appreciate that Zachary touched the lives of so many, and we know that this day will be incredibly special to many people. Out of respect for our family, we kindly invite those who had the honor of meeting Zachary or are close to our family to attend.

For those unable to attend in person, especially Zachary’s friends from afar or those still in hospital, we hope you will hold him in your hearts and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this time. Zachary’s legacy will live on through the love we share for him and the memories we will forever cherish.
