Ding de los Reyes Benicia, CA, Graduate Of Ambassador College Bible Has Died

Benicia, CA – Lolo Ding de los Reyes, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” These words from 2 Timothy 4:7 echo the strength, determination, and unwavering faith of our uncle Lolo Ding de los Reyes, who died peacefully  at his home on January 13, 2025, at 9:35 p.m.

Ding de los Reyes was a man who embodied resilience, kindness, and wisdom. His gentle spirit, combined with a deep sense of faith, made him a beloved figure in his family and community. Though his physical presence is now gone, his legacy of love, humility, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born in Caramoran, Catanduanes, Ding’s life was a testament to the values of hard work and perseverance. He pursued his education with a passion, first attending Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo High School, and then furthering his studies in Accounting and Business at the University of the East (UE). His dedication to learning didn’t stop there—he also studied Accounting and Intermediate Excel at Heald College, equipping himself with practical skills that would shape his professional journey.

Ding’s love for learning extended beyond his formal education. He was a graduate of the Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course, reflecting his deep commitment to his Christian faith. This spiritual foundation was evident in the way he lived his life—always guided by faith, love, and a desire to help others. Ding was a man who led by example, offering wisdom and support to those around him, while never asking for anything in return.

For many years, Ding lived in Benicia, California, where he built a life of stability and contentment. His warm and welcoming nature made him a cherished member of the community, both in Benicia and back in his hometown of Caramoran. Friends and family alike remember him for his unwavering optimism, his infectious smile, and the way he made everyone feel valued.

Ding’s passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. Yet, as we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. His journey was one filled with hard work, dedication to his faith, and a love for his family that never wavered. He was the rock for many, a man whose presence was a source of strength and comfort.

Ding’s wake will be held at Funeraria Samson in Bayan Luma 1, Imus, Cavite, starting on January 24, where family and friends will gather to pay their respects and honor his memory. His internment will take place on January 28, a day when his loved ones will come together to say their final goodbyes, secure in the knowledge that Ding has found peace and rest with the Lord.

As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of the words he held dear: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” Ding’s journey on this earth may have come to an end, but his faith remains an enduring example for all of us. He fought the good fight with grace and dignity, he finished his race with strength and perseverance, and he kept his faith unwaveringly until the very end.

In this time of sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Ding is now resting in the arms of the Lord. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and his life will continue to inspire us to live with the same faith, love, and kindness that he demonstrated every day.

Rest in peace, dear Uncle and Lolo Ding. You will be dearly missed, but your legacy of love and faith will live on in all of us.
