Butchers Hill, Accident – A chilling home surveillance video has captured the horrifying moment a 29-year-old woman was run over by an Amazon delivery driver in Baltimore’s Butchers Hill neighborhood. The incident occurred on February 18 around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of E. Pratt and S. Chester Street. The footage, recorded by a Ring doorbell camera, shows the traffic light turning green as the Amazon truck begins to move, slowly rolling over the woman as she stood in the crosswalk. The driver hesitated briefly but continued, running over her a second time with the back wheels of the vehicle.
“That’s horrible,” said Josh Webster, a local resident who watched the video in disbelief. “That almost seemed fake. It’s like, you don’t want to believe it, you know.” The footage reveals the woman crying out in pain as the driver exits the truck to assess the situation. Shockingly, he then gets back into the vehicle and drives away, leaving her injured on the street. “He had to know that something was obviously wrong,” Webster added. “Especially driving a truck around all day. You can differentiate between a pothole and a person. I’m pretty sure.”
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Baltimore Police Department. However, the driver’s Tag/ID number remains unknown, and authorities are still searching for the suspect. The video has sparked outrage and concern among residents, who are calling for accountability. “They should definitely be held accountable,” Webster said. “I just pray that that woman’s okay.”
The incident has left the community shaken, raising questions about pedestrian safety and the responsibilities of delivery drivers. As the investigation continues, many are hoping for justice for the victim and measures to prevent such tragedies in the future. For now, the focus remains on the woman’s recovery and the hope that those responsible will be brought to justice.
